Job Description
As a Test Technician, your primary responsibility will be hands-on work with printed circuit boards (PCBs) . You will assemble, debug, and test PCBs to ensure our pool and spa products are safe, reliable, and high-performing. You will also work closely with our Design Verification Test (DVT) team to develop and execute test plans for new and existing products. This role is perfect for someone with strong PCB skills who enjoys solving technical challenges in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, solder (through-hole and surface mount), debug, and test printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Develop and execute test specifications and test cases for product verification.
- Perform tests on new and existing products according to documented requirements.
- Document test procedures, results, and specifications.
- Operate electronic lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and voltmeters.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics to ensure products meet performance standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong PCB experience is a must – assembly, soldering, debugging, and testing of PCBs.
- 4+ years of experience in a DVT test environment or as an Electronics Engineering Technician.
- Skilled in using electronic lab equipment and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to read technical documents and write test procedures.
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with PCB layout and fine-pitch soldering.
- Knowledge of electronic motor control, wireless communication, and networking.
- Familiarity with DVT, SQA testing, and engineering support.
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Software, or equivalent experience.
