Summary

Creating Kids at the Connecticut Children's Museum is seeking a part-time SUBSTITUTE ASSISTANT TEACHER to support our classrooms. If you love kids, books, bugs and hugs, come work part-time or full-time(29-40 hours/week) with a team of amazing teachers in a small, innovative, inclusive, and arts-rich child care center connected to a children's museum.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Support children, families, and colleagues in their development.
  • Foster communication with parents and support their involvement in the Center.
  • Help develop and implement a creative, inclusive, and cross-cultural curriculum based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences and the CT Early Learning and Development Standards.
  • Help create and maintain the physical environment.
  • Complete any written documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in center wide and staff-based activities.
  • Honor the ideals and principles of the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment.
  • Participate in supervision activities.

Requirements
